craft party, Etsy, Craft MNL

And we’re so excited for the Craft Party tomorrow!  🙂  Fair weather be with us, but bring your rainboots, coats and umbrellas nonetheless!  Festivities start at 3 PM with mosaic making!  Dollmaking officially begins at 5:30 PM, but earlybirds can start anytime.  The folks who registered on Eventbrite get to make their very own craft badges at anytime they choose (they get craft badge kits from Etsy!).  Materials will be laid out in our happy craft station.  A short programme will happen at around 5:30 PM when the dollmaking begins, as Mommy Jac of I am Handmade shows us the basics of making the doll (for craft beginners), and our friends from Channel Good will share about the Girl Matter advocacy.

Detail or the original artwork for the doll design lovingly made by illustrator (and all around awesome creative) Celina de Guzman.

Drop by!  Registration begins at 3 PM (PHP 250 at the door includes craft materials and yummy eats).  Yummy food provided by Kitchen Revolution!  Thank you to Etsy, Hocus (for allowing us to overrun the creative space with crafters), DMC Philippines (for providing thread!), Paper Chic Studio (for the fun paper straws), Muni and Loudbasstard for the sounds, B-Side for lending us chairs and tables, Dolldalita (for Mommy Jac’s all-around awesomeness and generosity) and Channel Good (for wonderfully starting Girl Matter)!

Hope to see you there!  Feel free to bring your trusty sewing kits and embellishments (though basic sewing materials will be provided).  Thank you to those who said they’d bring other materials to share.  This indeed has become a crafting for community affair.
