It’s time to get that sewing machine running!  Learn how to operate a sewing machine, and get to make an easy first project of a lined drawstring bag!  Each student will be using one Brother JS1400 machine.

Topics to be covered:

• Sewing machine parts and functions
• Winding a bobbin
• Threading a needle
• Locking stitches
• Stitch Control Practice
• Making a lined, box-bottomed drawstring pouch

Learn how to make your own creepy cute mochi ghost by using the Japanese technique known as “amigurumi” or the art of crocheting dolls or stuffed toys.

The figure is perfect for several purposes — a key chain, bag charm, a shelf sitter or table décor, a lightweight travel buddy, a pin cushion, a stress toy, or a Halloween hanging.

Inclusions: 1 pattern, acrylic yarn cakes of different colors, 2 crochet hooks of different sizes, tapestry needle, stitch markers, key rings, polyester fiberfill, buttons, safety eyes, plus lots of useful tips and best practices to give your amigurumi project a more polished and unique look.

Tools such as scissors and pliers will be provided but not to be taken home.

This workshop is suitable for beginners with a basic knowledge of crochet.

Class is limited to eight participants 12 years old and above.

The Rubber Stamp Carving Workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to explore their creative side and learn the art of rubber carving and block printing. This class is taught by Jinel of Stamps and Patterns (@stampsandpatterns). No expertise is needed as long as you know how to hold a cutter.

At the end of the workshop, you will learn the basics of carving your own rubber block, designing your own stamps, and basic block printing—creating unique prints.

Workshop kit is included.
