Learn how to make your own whimsical doll by using the Japanese technique known as “Amigurumi” or the art of crocheting dolls or stuffed toys.

These handmade dolls are perfect for several purposes — a key chain or a rucksack/bag charm, a shelf sitter or table décor, a lightweight travel buddy, a pin cushion, Christmas Tree and Halloween hanging, a gift or stocking stuffer, and even a learning tools for kids!

During the 4 hour workshop, the participants will learn how to do several skills essential to amigurumi-making such as:

– working a magic ring

– stitching in spiral

– counting and marking stitches

– increasing and making the invisible decrease

– changing colors neatly

– stuffing

– assembling

– simple embroidery stitches for facial features

– embellishing and customizing your own design

The session fee of P1,900 will include 1 doll pattern, four acrylic yarn cakes of different colors, 1 crochet hook, polyester fiberfill, buttons, plus lot of useful tips and best practices to give your amigurumi project a more polished look.

Tools such as scissors, tapestry needles, pompom makers will be provided but not to be taken home.

This workshop is suitable for beginners with a basic knowledge of crochet.

Slots are limited to up to eight participants! So make sure to reserve your slot early!

Instructor Profile:

Margaux Rull is a self-taught amigurumist and has been designing patterns and crocheting dolls of her own designs since 2014. She is the creator, designer, and owner of the shop Creative Chaos. She also likes to dabble in mixed media, art journaling, and upcycling.
