Basic Sewing Machine Operation

It’s time to get that sewing machine running!  Learn how to operate a sewing machine, and get to make an easy first project of a lined drawstring bag or a Felt Appliqué Throw Pillow Cover!  Each student will be using one Brother JS1400 machine.

• Sewing machine parts and functions
• Winding a bobbin
• Threading a needle
• Locking stitches
• Stitch Control Practice
• Making a lined, box-bottomed drawstring pouch or
• a Felt Appliqué Throw Pillow Cover
