About the Workshop
Weaving a mini wall hanging for beginners
Let’s weave tiny tapestries using the weave-it-yourself Mini! In this quick craft session, participants will learn the basics of weaving: the plain weave and rya knot techniques, how to change yarn colors, combine different yarn textures, and other processes to create a woven piece. A video guide access will show them the complete start-to-finish steps to finish a woven wall hanging or a coaster if they cannot finish it during our session.
Workshop fee inclusions:

Workshop Instructor
JUDITH BASCO is a weaver and a resident artist at Habitat570, a weaving and tattoo studio based in Pasig, where she hosts fiber art classes. She utilizes her workshops, customized kits, and simplified patterns to help make weaving accessible while remaining respectful of its cultural roots and appreciative of its craft. Judith is also a member of Sama-samang Artista para sa Kilusang Agraryo (SAKA), an anti-feudal artist alliance.
