About the Workshop
Learn how to tuft and glue your own rug in 4-5 hours.
This beginner class is inclusive of all materials, as well as the option to create a rug with Profanity’s original designs. It will also include the sketching, trimming, and backing services from Profanity to help you create your tufted piece
Final rugs will be delivered after 10 working days.
Inclusions:
- Option to execute a Profanity Design
- Sketching Service
- Trimming Service
- Backing Service
- Equipment Rental (a loop pile gun and a 15×15 inch tufting frame)
- Materials to be used (tufting fabric, rug yarn, rug glue)
What to Prepare:
- After registration, send or choose the design of your rug or coasters you wish to make.
- As much as we would all love to, not all designs can be translated into a tufted piece 😥 Sending the design beforehand allows me to advise which designs would be feasible given the length of the class.
- Most workshops will be documented. Kindly let me know ahead of time if you do not consent to have your photos taken or included in the videos 📸
- Since we will be working with power tools, will have to limit the age to 15 yrs old and above. Minors must provide a written and signed letter of consent from their legal guardian/s.
- Safety precautions will be taught during the workshop on how to handle the tools and equipment safely. We will not be liable for any injuries that may happen during the session
- For any damaged equipment, there will be a penalty fee (amount to be determined depending on the severity of damage done)

Hi! I’m Asha Angeles, owner of Profanity I’m a queer fiber artist who has been tufting since 2020.
True to the brand’s name, Profanity’s original designs range from taboo themes that the majority might consider as obscene.
I got into tufting during the pandemic. It was originally supposed to be a hobby to pass the time while everyone was in lockdown. But the orders kept coming and I haven’t stopped since.
