On Labor Day, we celebrate the work of our hands (among other things, as we also celebrate the work of everyone around us who makes life a lot easier)! ✨

Here’s sharing one of the things that have been keeping us busy these past couple of weeks—we’ve prepared literally over a thousand of these kits for an upcoming online event highlighting local festivity, history, and creativity.

Props and a big thank you to the team—we made it! Another set to go. 😂

Another big thank you also to @pioneeradhesivesph, for their handy glue pack, ensuring the kits are lightweight, and compact—quite essential for this batch. Their glue actually smells pretty nice too (it’s true, but it feels a bit strange saying that out loud). 😅

And the @makersmarketph is back! ✨

In the middle of last year, we had to hunker down, and really focus on having our own business survive. At the same time though, we saw so many others trying to do the same.

Since our last Maker’s Market was in 2019, we figured we had to think of a way to promote handmade and local—and in the spirit of our initial efforts to mainstream all things #handmadenhomegrown, we found an amazing partner in @lazadaph!

They invested in cultivating our shops (actually Craft is still working on ours, haha), and we’re very thankful for being able to present our work together in one page, but still with shops independently run by the makers themselves.

The soft launch of the #makersmarketphxlazada is finally ready!

We moved into our current home in Arnaiz in 2014. It was also around this time (or so) that the interest in type was amazing to witness!

One of our first installations at the studio was by Bartek Janczak of Typoets! He installed a few hundred hand-cut letters with floating wire in the middle of our space! At that time, he and his wife Carissa sold type-themed shirts to raise funds for local schools. How amazing was that? ✨

We also hosted a number of type-themed workshops then, with none other than @darkgravity showing us the wonder of Pilot parallel pens, among other things. 😮

We’re turning 9 years this month! ✨

In the midst of everything going on, we figured this would be as good a reason to celebrate as any.

We’ve paused our in-studio workshops for the duration of ECQ, and while we’re figuring out how to get things going again, we’ve been quite busy sharing the love of making through different online creative team building sessions (if you’re interested to book one for your team or company, just send us a message!).

We figured to share a series of throwback photos, and we’d like to start with our very first Succulent Dish Garden workshop. 🌵

We’ve hosted a number of amazing green thumbs over the years, but our foray into sharing plantita/tito-hood began in 2014 with none other than @gawanifemi.

We hosted this one in our first studio at (the now non-existent) Collective along Malugay street.

It’s been amazing to see that since then, Femi herself has grown into focusing on the beautifully painted plant pots she shares now through her IG account. If you’re lucky, you can snag one of the pot-heads she has on auction to help a family member raise funds for their COVID treatment. We’ve featured her post in our Stories, as well as in our Highlights tab under Help Out ♥️.

We’ll be sharing more throwback snapshots, as well as little stories as we journey back through our nine years this month. If you’ve got a story to share, just tag us, or send us a message. We’d love to hear from you.

When it’s hard to get moving, doing one thing that brings you joy can get your whole day jump started. 🌞

You don’t have to finish a whole project at once, just get a foot in the door, and get started.

The rest might be a bit easier after a bit of momentum. If it isn’t, that’s okay. We try again.

Our friends at @artivism.iloilo have been creating inspiring platforms for creatives to get together, and we’re pretty stoked to be part of their lineup of workshops for their festival in March!

We prepared a virtual course on simple Box Making! So if you’re curious to try out this project, stay tuned to their channels to see how you can join this virtual workshop! They’ve also invited other talented makers to share their skills, so don’t miss it! We’ll post their lineup of activities in our Stories.
