In this session, the lovely folks of Hiwaga Hands will guide you in mending your clothes mindfully. Learn and apply different hand stitching techniques such as sashiko, patchwork, and basic embroidery, to give new life to your worn clothes in a way that expresses your authentic self.
What we’ll provide:
Sewing materials
Curated retasos (fabric scraps) from @barriostudios and @wear.amu
A printed guide to slow stitching as a mindfulness practice
All materials are provided, but feel free to bring any fabrics that you’d like to incorporate in your project.
You may also bring worn clothes that you’d love to repair or refresh.
