About the Workshop
Mixed Knots is a fun and beginner-friendly macrame workshop where creativity meets style and functionality! In this hands-on session, you’ll learn the basics of macrame knotting while crafting your very own colorful lanyard fit for everyday use as a phone/bag/tumbler strap. We’ll guide you through essential techniques, provide a colorful selection of ropes you can mix and match to reflect your own personality, and help you craft a piece that’s uniquely yours. Whether you’re new to crafting or just looking for a relaxing creative outlet, this workshop is the perfect way to unwind, connect, and leave with something beautiful and functional.
What we’ll provide:
- Assorted colors of 3mm macrame cotton rope (each attendee will use a total of approximately 20-30 yards of cotton rope)
- Assorted colors of keychain clasps (each attendee gets to take home 4 pcs)
- Crafting materials: tape measure, scissors, S-hooks
What we’ll make
- One short strap suitable for a water bottle or small purse
- One long strap suitable for a phone or a sling bag
Open to adults and young adults 13 years old and above

An events professional by day, but at heart, a maker through and through. Sewing, slow stitching and embroidery, crochet, macramé — Riela will try and learn just about any craft she can get her hands on. After stepping back from a fast-paced, work-centered lifestyle, she has embraced a slower, more mindful way of living, and now dedicate more of her time and energy to more meaningful things — nurturing her home, caring for her 4 cats, and taking opportunities to help create space for others to also pause, play, and enjoy the simple magic of making.
