Hi, we’ve been busy bees! 🐝 But we’ve also bee in the best company (virtually, of course). We’re coming together with a bunch of makers in putting together an Instagram Pop Up in support of relief efforts, as well as rehabilitation efforts for our fellow makers. Read more below, and do follow @makersmarketph for updates, or if you want to join!

The recent typhoons have affected the lives and livelihoods of so many. As Makers, we can only begin to understand the scale of rebuilding needed in order to help our fellow Makers get back on track. We’re a generally positive lot, so we’d like to do something to help out, and we can help out even more if we do things together.

We’ll be holding an Instagram Pop Up on Saturday, November 21, from 6-9 PM, posting within the time indicated, different products we’ve made ourselves, and that are up for sale, with proceeds going to support relief and rebuilding efforts of our Marikina Shoe Makers through @stridecollective, and the relief efforts of RockEd Philippines through #RockEdRelief.

We’re also looking at other avenues of reaching out to other affected Makers more directly, since even some of our own friends and bazaar neighbors have been greatly affected.
