A quick survey of different coptic binding projects brought to our attention an article written by one of our previous workshop participants, Eula!  In the article published on Paper Blog, she recounts her experience at LoveBound–the bookbinding class we had at Fully Booked a few months ago.  She details the projects (with pictures!)–perfect binding, coptic binding and Japanese stab binding, as well as gathers photos of different interesting bookbinding projects on the web.  Loved some of her finds!  🙂

Thank you Eula for your awesome piece.  We’re totally inspired–and just in time for this weekend’s next offering of bookbinding classes!  Because of the number and variety of classes we’ve been offering, we figured to reformat (if you hadn’t noticed) our workshop announcements.  Our apologies to the folks who miss the craft puns for workshop names.  They’re still the same workshops though (with some offering level-ed up materials and content, even!), and we hope you enjoy learning as much as we enjoy sharing.

Read up on Eula’s piece here.  If you’re curious about those projects and are itching to try them yourself, you can still sign up for this weekend’s bookbinding class here.

Last night’s crocheting flowers Happy Hour was fun and intimate.  We realize we have to probably promote these mini end-of-day gatherings to just make stuff with fellow crafters, and we’ll up the ante on that, but just to let everyone know, when it’s a sale week (yes, we’re quite set on doing this regularly–we might have to pare down on the number of days though, will let you know!), we’ll have evening activities!  So just hop on over to the Collective–since sale week ends on Saturday, we’ll be here until then (at least from around 1 PM to 8 PM).

Trey of Gantsilyo Guru Selections brought with her sample yarns from Japan for us to oooh and ahhh at, looking forward to seeing finished products of those Hamanaka yarns!
