Weave palm leaves with us this weekend! This heritage craft returns to the studio, as @nicanorateresa and our friends from Malolos, Bulacan pay us a visit to share their passion and expertise in this craft.

Learn simple, and enjoyable to make woven forms that you can make into toys, or decor. This weaving technique may also be applied to other crafts, adding that local flavor into whatever you create. ✨

As Baybayin ᜊᜌ͓ᜊᜌᜒᜈ͓ gains popularity, and a wider audience becomes aware of the presence of this indigenous form of writing, let’s have a look at other scripts that are used in their respective communities up to the present.

Focusing on the living scripts of Hanunuo, Buhid, and Palaw’an, let’s explore beyond the Tagalog Baybayin, and create poetry in the traditional form of the Ambahan in this fun, and informative session with @hiblasanghabi this weekend!

Be still, dear hearts—our February lineup is ready! Apart from being the month of love, it’s also National Arts Month! ✨

We have even more woodworking classes this month, headlined by the return of @lamanaph’s Ishinomaki, and Ishinomaki-inspired classes, along with DIY Carpentry, Basic Woodworking, and a new offering: Box Making as an Intermediate class!

We also have our soap and candle making classes, with a special Valentine session of candle making wherein everyone gets to enjoy a drink of wine! 🍷

Our Basic Sewing class is sold out, but we’ve got a weekday run of Sewing a Zippered Pouch!

We also have Brush Calligraphy with @g_craftsss, along with Basic Paper Engineering (make pop up cards!) with @pumapapelcrafts!

Bhavna of @craftsmaiden returns to the studio this month, teaching the Peyote Stitch Beading Technique!

For Heritage classes this month, we’ll have @hiblasanghabi teaching about our Living Scripts (for those who’ve taken Baybayin, you might want to explore this—though folks with no background on indigenous scripts are welcome)! Ate Naty will also be coming all the way Malolos to teach Pastillas Pabalat Papercutting, followed by Palm Leaf Weaving with @nicanorateresa the following weekend.

We also have well-loved staples—Basic Leathercrafting with @soulflowerco, and Basic Pottery with @ioridori, and another run of Doodle Art with @artistmamtasingh!
