Learn the basics of macrame in this workshop with crafter and maker, Gladys Jose! This workshop will take you through the basics of weaving your own macramé wall hanging, teaching you various knots, measurements and tips.
Colors of materials will be the choice of the facilitator and will vary at each workshop.
Each participant will receive a kit of materials, inclusive of wooden dowels, hand-dyed cotton rope and beads–enough to make two wall hangings–one during the workshop, and another one as a take home project.
Session fee is PHP 1,950.00, inclusive of all materials. Only 8 participants will be accommodated.

About the Instructor
Teacher by training, financial literacy advocate by choice, crafter by accident – While in college she learned basic bead work from visiting a Mangyan refugee camp. As a grade school teacher in Palawan, she would make jewelry and would sell them through souvenir shops. As a token for helping organize a music and arts festival, she was allowed to attend a class for free. She joined jewelry making class where she learned macramé.
She is a lefty crocheter and makes crocheted bridal bouquets. She also enjoys kumihimo braiding and loom knitting. With a budding green thumb, she has also facilitated Succulent Dish Garden Making and incorporated water plants in her macramé plant hangers. Aside from macramé workshops, she also facilitates workshops in finance, investments and costing.
