Hot process (HP) is a method of soap making that is different from Cold Process (CP). There’s external heat involved to complete the saponification process. One big advantage of HP over CP is you do not need a long curing time to use the soap. You can use it right away, although, it’s advisable to wait for a week or 2 for soap to firm up.

This class focuses on the Slow Cooker method of Hot Process soap making. You’ll learn the basics of HP including what equipment & ingredients work best. Attendance of the Cold Process soap making class is a prerequisite for this course. Some basics of soapmaking like preparation of lye, using soap calculator, etc will not be discussed; as we will dive right in to hot process soapmaking.

Each student will experience making their own batch of Natural Vegetable oil-based soap that will yield up to 10 bars of soap, and includes a take home of the following items– wooden soap mold with silicone liner, goggles, soap cutter, ready-to-use soap bar.

Session fee is PHP 5,500. A maximum of 8 participants will be accommodated.
Participants will be requested to wear/bring lightweight long sleeved shirts as additional protection.

Available session dates for October at our workshop space at Unit 302, 926 Pasay Road Condominium (Pamana-Languages Building), Arnaiz Avenue (Pasay Road, behind New World Hotel), Makati:
