We’re binding books with Tienda Wabas! If you’ve always wanted to learn how to make your own hand-stitched journal, this is the session for you!
In this session, you will be taught how to make a coptic stitched journal with a cover made out of plywood (yes, wood!). Participants will also be taught to use photo transfer to design the covers of their journal. Participants can even bring their own picture or use provided patterns.
This fun session for June happens at the Craft MNL studio (Unit 302, Pamana-Languages Building, 926 Arnaiz Avenue, Makati) on:
- June 10 (Saturday) 2 – 5 PM
The session fee for one slot is PHP 1,450.00 and includes hand-outs, plywood, pages (kraft and cream paper), waxed yarn (their very own sticky threads!), paint, varnish, and the sharing of tools.
Only up to 12 participants will be accommodated.
About the Instructor
Francine Lima is a fine arts student from UP Diliman, majoring in painting. She should have graduated in 2014, but she caught the crafting bug in 2013 when she decided to fund her studies by selling crafts. After researching and studying different craft projects, she has found her calling in handmade notebooks. Her goal is for her notebooks to make it into the hands of every craft enthusiast and whoever else may appreciate these handmade wonders.
