Hand stamping is a classic way to personalize jewelry. It simply requires a steady hand, a firm grip on the hammer and the confidence that you didn’t position the letter upside down. Learn how to cut, sand, shape and create your own brass pendants, to make into necklaces and bring home a brass ring and bangle too!
In this brand-new offering, each participant will be working on these wonderful projects:
- 3 necklaces with hand-stamped charms
- 2-3 rings
- 1 brass bangle
- 1 leather cuff
Topics and Techniques to be discussed during the class are:
1. Introduction to basic jewelry making
2. Brass material discussion: uses and gauges
3. Hand stamping tools and where to get them
4. Making pendants
5. Making rings
6. Making bangles
