Aside from celebrating Buwan ng Wika and promoting a good cause, believe that our indigenous form of writing has a space in the minds and understanding of all Filipinos, which is why we’re bringing back Baybayin classes! Up to learning this new form of writing? Then this workshop is for you.
This three-hour session with Leo Emmanuel Castro of Sanghabi will guide participants through the history, context and understanding of Tagalog Baybayin, allowing for participants a deeper understanding of the form, meaning and usage of this form of writing. This session is great for students, designers, tattoo artists, and whoever would like to know more about Baybayin. Participants will also get to practice writing in this session.
Session fee is PHP 500 inclusive of all materials. Proceeds from this class will serve as fundraising for materials for Sanghabi’s initiative teaching lumads.
